Despite breaking her fifth lumbar in a skateboarding accident during adolescence, she went on to become a triathlete, entrepreneur, wife, mother and solo world traveler. FEATURED ART
Tim Ellis

Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1966, Tim Ellis self-identified as an artist from an early age. Ellis earned his BFA from Alfred University in New York, renowned for its distinguished ceramic art program. Excelling in his studies, Ellis earned the title of Art Student of the Year for two consecutive years and graduated with honors.
In his early work, Ellis delved into large-scale figure sculpture, working with media such as clay, plaster, steel, and bronze. His fascination with color led him to explore themes of perception and distortion, which have become central motifs in his art.
Over the past decade, Ellis has focused primarily on painting, employing a bold and spontaneous style that imbues each stroke with urgency and vitality. His work both captures the essence of his subjects and delves into their inner worlds.
Drawing inspiration from his eclectic background and human experience, Ellis created two distinct painting series: the Artist Series and the Jazz Series. The Artist Series pays homage to art world luminaries like Salvador Dali and Frida Kahlo, capturing their physical likenesses and creative personas. The Jazz Series celebrates jazz pioneers through vibrant compositions that blend abstraction and representation.
Since relocating to Los Angeles in the 1990s, Ellis has continued to evolve and innovate. His work has been showcased in prestigious exhibitions and galleries, and is collected both domestically and internationally. Ellis remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of his craft, exploring new avenues of expression, and inviting viewers into his imaginative world.
Lois Gough Lopez

…And now, my ART – my PhotoART!
Crazy how this just evolved and blew up – in a great way!
One minute I’m asking God to help bring “my colors” and “joy” back into my life. I’m asking what else I’m supposed to be doing.
The next minute I’ve seen a commercial for Art Storefronts (ASF) and I’m calling them up – thinking ‘this is crazy – I’m a Money Nerd, not an artist!’…but I’m propelled by some unseen force! So I call them up.
And I’m filled with excitement, like I’m 7 on Christmas Eve!
And I just KNOW I’m supposed to be on this exciting path. And they work with me, and I meet wonderful people.
And the next thing I know I am going to be launching a website, and my PhotoART will be for sale. I’m excited beyond belief!!!
And scared to death!
And Nervous!
Intimidated by all the talent out there, because after all, I’m a Money Nerd that just plays with buttons and dials, and filters and styles, creating something different, turning a photograph into something that often looks more like abstract art.
And who am I, this Money Nerd, to call myself an ARTist???!
Sevan Masehian

Sevan’s journey in the world of photography started very early in his life, around 7 years of age, when his dad gave him his medium format Agfa camera and told him to check where the light was coming from, compose correctly, make sure his shot is in focus and then take his picture. He still remembers the excitement he felt just before he took his first shot with that camera. That feeling, still continues with him today.
His journey continued to high school, where he formally took photography classes and eventually to Santa Monica College, School of Photography, where he honed his craft. He majored in Environmental Sciences and he worked in that field for several years but his LOVE of photography proved much stronger and with the support of his wife, he started to pursue a career in photography in 2001.
Sevan’s studies in photography continued by his frequent visits to museums and galleries in Los Angeles, where with each new exhibit, he studied and paid great attention to past and up-&-coming styles in photography, and ultimately, and perhaps subconsciously, he applies those learned styles and technics to his photography today.
His interests in photography are many and include performing arts, landscapes, old churches and structures, street scenes and photojournalism, but his passion lies in street photography, where events happen spontaneously and unexpectedly.
He enjoys the works of Henri Cartier-Bresson, André Kertész, Brassaï, Vivian Maier, Garry Winogrand, Sebastiao Salgado, Dorothea Lange, and many others.

Come sip tea, listen to vinyl, sink into a comfy chair, have some warm soup, and read a great book.
